It is the summer that is coming. Like I do every year, I will now be dreaming off the marvelous places that I wish to go to. Sydney, Seattle, Paris. Thanks to the Internet, I can search for a flight to paradise from my windowless office, even if I lack the cash and the time to take the trips. For one agency, they were the most flexible among the rest. You can search for a two to four day trip between July 15 and Aug 3 as well as the cheapest weekend trip in June. What this one offered are specifications for infant in lap or infant in seat while two other agencies only sold tickets for adults, seniors, and minors.
Without searching for them, I was alerted to cheaper fares from nearby airports or dates by the three sites. From one of these sites came about a nice calendar showing fares for the entire month. Even if I requested for departure times, there was one agency that kept on sorting things out based on price. The way the company sorts their flights is by price and wading through cheap afternoon flights does me no good especially when I need to be there for a 9 am meeting.
There was one search site that was very flexible and had more options. When it comes to this company, they allowed me to search for multicity as in New York to Chicago to Boston to New York and so called open jaw trips flying from New York, but returning to Boston. Similar to other agency sites, it uses email fare alerts too. Started by them was a beta test for flexible date searching up to three days before or after that is limited to the agency sites.
It was also easiest to use. Possible from four sites were multicity searches but automatically filling in the next box was done by this one. With most of these sites, you have tools for narrowing, expanding, and comparing flight results to work with. If you remove a check mark next to an airline then all related options disappear. You can choose to add flights from a nearby airport as well as remove all evening flights
