Digital photography has taken the pictures industry by storm since it?s introduction to the customer market in 1990. It was in 1990 that Kodak introduced a digital digital camera that was priced well out of the common consumers price range but well within the range of professional and photojournalism?s wallet. This introduction drove the actual demand for digital higher and within the last sixteen years, digital photography has become so widespread that many pictures companies are discontinuing their own film models. Kodak was the first to announce in January of 2004 that they would no more produce reloadable 35 mm cameras and Nikon adopted suit in January associated with 2006 with the discontinuation of all but 2 film models; they chose to continue to produce the reduced end Nikon FM10 and also the high end Nikon F6. In May of that same year, Canon also declared that they would stop with the reload capable film cameras as well. It's not surprising that the consumer market for the film version of any digital camera is on the decrease as the digital versions offers so many more perks.
